In this page you will learn how to fill the wizard page 'Weight or Relative Importance of the criteria.'
At this stage, you will have to specify which criteria is more important then the others
and how more (less) important it is. In other words, you will have to assess the relative
importance of the criteria.
To do that, you can choose different ways:
- you can rank the criteria, and then specify for instance that price is the most important
(rank 1), then space (rank 2), etc.
- you can enter a weight value (e.g. price is 30% important and consumption is only 10%
important) as presented in the figure above.
- compare the criteria on different scales and specifiy that the price is 3times more
impotant than space, but that space is 2times more important than power ; power which is
4times less important than... etc.
If you decide to specifify the importance of the criteria by their rank, don't forget that the
lower the rank of the criteria the more important the criteria. Several criteria may have
the same rank.
Compare the criteria on different scales (e.g. 5-level scale) and specifiy how more (less)
important is a specific criterion compared to another criterion:
price is two times more important than power ;
price is three times more important than space ;
power is neutral (same importance) than comfort.
